How to randoms become ripples?

They become Cogs in your life's wheels.

It all about things and people igniting a chain reaction.

So I guess it's like this,

You are invited to a New Year's Eve party, have an ok time but nothing special. You meet a guy called Eric and you kiss and end up having a fun (short lived romance), then a few months later you bump into a friend of his who you met whilst dating Eric, and this friend of Eric is named Richard.

Richard tells you about a nightschool course that sounds interesting. You make a few enquiries and end up doing an IT course for a total of 6 weeks.
Also taking this course is a lovely chap called Dave who you end up becoming romantically involved with.

One winter, 4 years later you are married to Dave's second cousin, have two kids and a doberman called Biggles.

This example sounds silly but it's exactly the way that ripples work. One thing leads to another, all the cogs work in combination and cause a chain reaction that culminates in you changing smelly nappies at 4 o'clock in the morning!

We could always change a few of the details in this story. Maybe the IT course enables you to take a degree in IT and you end up being a self employed, and very financially comfortable IT expert. You could end up dating and then living in a civil partnership with one of your clients. A client who only, originally, wanted help in creating a new website!

So that, in a nutshell is how we make Random people ripples.
