Random People, Golden Tickets.
Only most of us are not looking to spend a day with Willy Wonka in his Chocolate Factory, we are just looking to make a better life for ourselves.
So how are totally random people who are at best standing behind us in the queue at ASDA or picking their nose in the background of our polaroid photographs going to be our Golden Ticket to our new and improved life?
Simple, they aren't. they are just a part of the chain reaction that we get when we thow a stone in a pond. They are just one small ripple. That woman with the pushchair at the bus stop, she's just a ripple. Same with the guy who is walking his pet labrador or the old woman who needs help crossing the busy road.
They all share one important feature. They are all cogs in the wheel,
Ripples
That's what they are for this blogs purposes. We don't have to tell them that they are a cog in the wheel, that would be quite rude ;)
Of course they are complicated and complex human beings just like you and me. So that means that you are a ripple too, in somebody else's life. And so am I. If you found yourself reading this blog then maybe you are my ripple or maybe it's the other way around ! So I guess the next question is,
How can random people become our ripples ?
How do we make Ripples ?
That is the million dollar question but it is also the most important step to think about. How do you metaphorically throw a few stones and change your life?
Well let's start with communication.
How many random people do you see in the background, sitting at a bus stop or walking their dog or perhaps throwing bread to a plethora of ducks in a local pond?
It's like saying ' how many random people appear in the background of your old photographs?' One, two ? Hundreds ? Millions ? The answer is that there are millions of random people that just happen to be in the background at any given moment As far as you are concerned they are like extras in a movie. We could call them randoms for arguments sake.
There is a famous old saying
There are no such things as strangers
Just friends you haven't met yet.
I am not sure who originally came up with this quote, probably just some other random person. But whoever came up with this golden nugget is absoloutely spot on.
But I will go one further, I'd like to suggest that these same Random
people can be more than just friends, they can be your golden tickets to a new life.
They just don't know it yet and neither do you.
The Ripple Programme for Personal Growth, Wealth and Happiness. Try it and See what Happens.
You throw a stone into a pond, what happens ?
You get a Ripple.
Wouldn't it be great if you could throw a few stones
and change your life ? Create a few Ripples.
Are you stuck in a rut ? Do you feel lonely ? Need more friends ?
Need inspiration or a new life altogether ? Do you hate your job ?
Or do you need a complete life make over ?
I created this blog because many people feel like this, they feel like their life isn't as good as it could be or as good as other people's lives seem to be. They wouldn't mind a new career, being able to live comfortably without worrying about the bills. Maybe they also wouldn't mind making some new friends.
So what if you throw a couple of stones and make a few ripples ? It sounds a bit like saying
' don't just sit there moping, do something !'
In a way that is what I am saying, but this programmes tells you how to go about it. But more importantly it tells you how to gain control of your life.
This whole programme is based on the idea that throwing one small stone can cause a ripple effect that causes more ripples and then more ripples. It's maybe like Chinese Whispers or "Telephone" if you happen to be in the US.
So how do I throw a stone ? How do I make a few ripples?
The key to the ripple effect starts with communication, more importantly, the notion of talking to a stranger.
